After The Archive

After The Archive is an interactive gaming environment that unfolds after logging into the fictional desktop of Panni, an intern at the art museum Belvedere. After one of the paintings in the digital archive goes missing, the player is confronted with the complicated relationship between the archive, the archivers and the archived. 

Controls:

The game is set on a fictional desktop, where most interactions are similar to the way you interact with an actual desktop.

To leave the game press Esc.

Or use the power-off button on the login screen or on the menu that opens, when you press on the left lower corner in game.

About the Game:

This game is made by dependencies failed and Franci Kas.

Developed at the University of Applied Arts (Vienna) on the occasion of the SUBOTRON Game Jam Series 2026.

Panni, an intern at the art museum Belvedere is tasked with making a social media campaign about Women in Paintings. After her boss insists on doing the campaign on paintings by Auguste Renoir, Panni searches the museum’s archive only to discover that one of the paintings seems to have gone missing.
